It’s no surprise that I LOVE using Jenga questions in therapy. Whether the questions are about music, storytelling, art, or just to build rapport, Jenga is an amazing tool.

I made the grave mistake of writing questions down on my first ever Jenga set (and was SO excited to use it in sessions). Until I realized that the questions got old! I was asking things like “What’s your favorite food?”, “What’s your favorite memory” and by the time we played Jenga once or twice the kids had already answered all of the questions!

Hence, my written-on Jenga tower was almost therapeutically useless. So I got myself a new set of Jenga and came up with these questions that are much more open-ended and they never get old!

These questions can be asked numerous times, week over week, and they don’t get old. Too old anyway.  Here are a few examples:

  • Describe a time that you felt really excited lately.
  • What was a challenge you faced this week?
  • Who made you feel good this week?
  • Rate your day so far on a scale of 1-10.
  • Finish the sentence “I hope…..”

If you’re looking for an easy list or even small cards you can laminate with questions, then this download is for you!

P.S. If you are looking for visuals, intervention ideas, ebooks, or more supports similar to our Jenga questions, then don’t forget to head to our shop!
