D&D/TTRPG Consult Group (Assessment!) – June 30th

This groups theme will be: ASSESSMENT!!

We’ve begun to broaden our themes to include more than just the three pillars of play. This group will touch on types of assessment to bring into your therapy space before and during integration of D&D!

This group will occur on June 30th, 2026 via Zoom from 2:00 PM EST to 3:30 PM EST.

Zoom link will be sent to you in a separate email.

Here is what you can expect the group to look like:

• Welcome & Check-in (10 min) – Share who we are and a win from the past month
• Educational Materials (20 Minutes) – An overview of techniques and theories used in the mini actual play for theoretical grounding and learning!
• Mini Actual Play (15–20 min) – Kate will run a brief encounter (could be combat, a social interaction, or a creative problem-solving puzzle, etc.). Rotate which participants are “players” for those who feel comfortable!
• Clinical Debrief (25–30 min) – Group reflects:
  • What client goals could this simulate?
  • What emotional or social skills were practiced?
  • How would you scaffold this for a child/teen/adult?
• Brainstorm/Case Applications (20 min) – Participants bring a current client scenario and brainstorm how D&D could fit.
