In this episode, Andrea talks about her experience as a play therapist working with children, teens, and families. Andrea Vargas is a Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor, a Qualified Supervisor for MHC interns, and a Certified FirstPlay® Practitioner. Andrea has specialized in child and adolescent counseling since 2006. Her private practice is located in Weston, Florida where she serves children, teens, families, and college students.
Andrea fell in love with play therapy while in graduate school. She is a proud advocate of play and is currently the Chair for the South Florida Chapter of the Florida Association for Play Therapy. Adoption is her passion both professionally and personally, she enjoys using therapeutic play to heal attachment-related trauma.
